Losing a companion, whether four-legged or two, can be one of the most difficult times in our lives. In rescue, we meet, help, save, and yes sometimes lose the animals that we have been driven to protect.
This page is dedicated to all of the loving animals that have passed away, but before leaving us, have touched our lives in so many wonderful ways:
"We cared for you the best we could, and we miss you all, but gain comfort in the knowledge that your spirit is still within our hearts, keeping us going. We will continue to protect those who follow behind you, and the ones who follow after them. We look forward to seeing you again soon at the Rainbow Bridge, so keep an eye out for us."

"Why Are Your Crying?"
(Author Unknown) Why are you crying, I am not there. Look not for me by the favorite chair, I am not there. See me not at the bed's foot, nor at the door's step, I am not there. Do not look to the earth's cold hand, it could not hold me, I am not there. Look to the midnight star, a comet's flash, racing shadows in the field, sun lights dance on water's edge. Hear me, the rustle of the grass, pine bough sigh, the beat of bird's wings, the rain's quiet tattoo. Feel me in your heart, for it is there I cannot leave. Wait for my loving kiss, my paw's soft touch at Rainbow Bridge. I will meet you there, and we shall dance again, together. |
